Material

its made out of Limestone

Place of Discovery ;
The statue was discovered at Amarna in a workshop of a sculptor, by Borchardt in 1912 .

Description ;

This unfinished small statue again shows, the new trend of Atenism, representing the king wearing the crown of war seated on high back throne, while a female figure is seated on his lap, resting her feet on a pedestal, and is turning her head to receive a kiss from the king .
It has been suggested that this female figure is princess Merytaten, but it is not normal even for Akhenaten to kiss his daughter in such a manner, though suggestions have been of a marriage between the two, but it was doubted by many scholars .

The female figure is rather to be his secondary wife kiya who appears in scenes wearing such a wig .
